Ltd. The window will be close to the focus, so the flatness need
not be perfect, but the surface quality must be excellent. Hence we have
gone for windows which have the following specifications:
- Product code: PW1-2025-UV
- Material: UV grade fused silica
- Dimensions: 50.8mm (+0.00mm,-0.25mm) diameter, 6.35mm
thickness (+/-0.25mm)
- Clear aperture: exceeds central 85% of diameter (i.e. > 43.18mm)
- Flatness: lambda/10 at 633nm
- Parallelism: <10 arcsecs
- Surface quality: 10-5
- Chamfer: 0.35mm at 45o typical
- Uncoated
- Price: £115.00 each (we require 3) +VAT +delivery (approximately
£15)
Here is a transmission plot of the window. This is for a 10mm window, so
our losses should be a little less. These losses are in addition to
reflection losses, which we will minimize by coating the windows at the
same time as the rest of our optics.
