Ultracam Progress Meeting - 28 February 2001

Notes of Meeting:
· Optical
Tully reported that he has revised the optics and removed the glass for the re-design without any problems.
With regards to the Collimator design, he will take 2 days overtime (weekend) to do this. Derek to clear this with Gary Rae.
· Electronics/Mechanical
Brian Wilson is currently wiring the cables.
David will soon be carrying out vacuum tests for the camera head. There has been a problem so far in keeping the vacuum but this could have been caused by a faulty seal. This has now been remachined and he will do a clean assembly test either today or tomorrow.
· Software
Chris didn't have any new issues to raise.
Derek reported that he had checked the budget and there is currently £22k left to spend on things like a new PC, tech controllers, racks, cables etc, but even this will leave enough aside for approx 1.2 staff years of effort.
ACTION: Chris to report back to Derek in one month with an overall figure for software effort.
· AOB
Andy Vick will be taking over the meetings in 2 weeks time.
The CDR will be held on 2nd May 01 and delivery should be by 1 Nov 01.
