The TMR 1 protostar in Taurus is actually a binary system with a separation of about 42 AU (i.e. approximately the Earth-Pluto distance). This infrared image also reveals a dim, third object, TMR 1C, which was originally thought to be a large protoplanet but is now believed to be a background star.

This movie by R. Hurt (IPAC/Caltech) shows a simulated flight through the Taurus star-forming cloud (as seen in visible light) towards the young binary within (as seen in infrared light).
