------------------------------- ---- pt5m Observations Log ---- ------------------------------- Date: 16/12/2011 Observers: Liam Hardy Weather: Low wind and low humidity, reasonable but variable seeing (~2") Sunset: 18:24 UT Sunrise: 07:49 UT Moon: Grey Evening flats: trying Stu's script again, despite it insisting on taking flats in all filters. U: r0020323-327 B: r0020328-332 V: r0020333-337 R: r0020338-342 (exp times were all below 2 seconds so I decided to manually take some more)--> r0020348-358 I: r0020343-347 20 x bias frames taken at 18:42 with closed dome. Run numbers r0020359-378 Observations of standard stars using QSI script from ~19:00: Star 114-750: U: r0020383, 203388 B: r0020384, 203389 V: r0020385, 203390 R: r0020386, 203391 I: r0020387, 203392 Star 112-223: U: r0020393 B: r0020394 V: r0020395 R: r0020396 I: r0020397 Observing LOFAR transient 'Bell#1' from 19:40. 10 minute long exposures in R-filter. Difficult to find target, as finding charts were at a funny orientation (North down, east right, so pt5m images had to be rotated 180 degrees and inverted in y direction). Poor focus and not great seeing mean the images don't look too good... Run numbers: r0020398-411 Interesting artifact in image r0020401 at pixel 1054, 408 --> probably a cosmic ray Interesting artifact in image r0020402 at pixel 1250, 400 --> probably a cosmic ray WASP-33b transit observed from 22:00. Run numbers r0020412-21200 Observations ceased at 04:00 due to target being below 15 degrees elevation.
